Let's Talk about Confidence

Here's four tips about Confidence:

Every single person out there is not born with confidence. Confidence is something that you develop over time. It is something that grows with time.

Picture an athlete. When they first start running, do you think they have the strength and the stamina to run long distances? What about a weight trainer? Do you think that they start out being able to lift 100 kilos? They start on the lower side and do a little bit at a time and they build that muscle.

Confidence is exactly the same. Confidence is something that you will only build if you practice.

Tip number one, to build your Confidence:

Practice, and get out there and practice, practice, practice.

Let's talk about things you are going to practice.

Tip number two, get your ask into gear:

Now hearing that word ask can be super super scary for lots of people. Walking up to somebody and asking. So often my mum will come over she wants to know something from somebody at the call centre. "Can you call and ask for me, Sally?" "I'm like, go and ask."

So ask you're asking for help, if you're feeling overwhelmed or too busy, ask for help. If you're lost, driving around, ask for directions. If you're walking around the city and you're not sure where to go, ask for help. The more you ask, the easier it will become. If you want somebody to try your product or service. Ask!

"Would you like to?"  "If I give you this to try?" "Would you like to try it?"

Ask, it seems so simple. But the thought of asking somebody for something is can be scary. So get out there and ask. That will build your confidence muscles, the more you ask, the stronger you will become.

Tip number three, acknowledge your own accomplishments:

You have achieved something in your life now it doesn't need to be huge. It could be as small as the doing the dishes. But, whatever your accomplishments are, acknowledge them. Also witching personality you need to share with the world.

Acknowledge your achievements. It doesn't matter how small they are. Have you achieved something? Have you studied something? Do you know something that somebody else may not know? You need to acknowledge your own achievements. It doesn't matter what size they are, don't take them for granted. I want you to start giving yourself positive praises. The more negative stuff that comes out of your mouth, you think or even worse, you write it down. It is your life. You are digging yourself a hole to misery if you are putting yourself down. Love yourself. acknowledge your achievements.

Tip number four, get uncomfortable:

You need to get uncomfortable. Do stuff that pushes you out of your comfort zone. Keep doing it until you are comfortable. When you're comfortable at it, go and find something else to do that makes you uncomfortable. As simple as hitting that go live button. Is it scary? Yes. I promise you everyone out there that has done my Go Live in five challenge. Once they've done it a few times. It's like building if you're building your confidence muscle, it gets easier out with time. And if you stop doing it like any muscle, you stop using it. It's harder again, when you start to us forget if you stop asking people for things. The next time you finally build up the courage to do it again. It gets harder again.

Let's recap number one practice all these skills. The more you practice them the stronger that confidence muscle will grow.

Number two is get your asking to get an ask more often ask more often for help. For feedback, ask. Ask. Yes it's scary.

But that brings into number four which is getting uncomfortable. But let's not skip number three, which is acknowledging your own achievements. Don't take everything for granted that you do. We tend to focus on those things that we can't do and we're not good at enough. You don't want to be living that misery life thinking you're never good enough. You are perfect the way you are but there's always room for improvement.

So get out there practice going live to build those confidence muscles.
